​The Porter County Sheriff's Office is currently accepting applications for the position of 

Police Officer

 

 

Probationary Officer $58,000
2nd Class Officer $62,200
1st Class Officer $71,620

​

Job Requirements:

​

• Must be at least 21 years of age at time of appointment

• United States citizen

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED from an accredited school

• Must possess a valid Indiana driver’s license (or obtain one within 60 days of establishing residency)

• No felony convictions

• No misdemeanor conviction of domestic violence

• Must become a resident of Porter County within one (1) year of appointment
