The Civil
Bureau handles all civil process, service of protective orders,
processing arrest warrants, Indiana Dept of Revenue delinquent tax
payments and Sheriff’s Sales, (mortgage foreclosures). A list of
Sheriff’s Sales along with the procedures can be found on this
website under Sheriff’s Sales.
There is a
$60.00 flat fee for any Out of State service of papers. Please send
company check or money order, (no personal checks will be accepted),
payable to the “Porter County Sheriff”. We require three copies of
Summons and two copies of Complaints along with a self-addressed
