Battle of the Badges begins tonight

PORTER COUNTY | The Boys & Girls Clubs of
Porter County, South Haven Unit, will host the annual
Battle of the Badges basketball tournament beginning at
6 p.m. today and Thursday.
Participating departments this year are
the South Haven Fire Department, Porter County Sheriff's
Department, Portage Fire Department and Portage Police
Department.
Tonight the South Haven Fire Department
will face the Portage Fire Department. At 7:15 the
Porter County Sheriff’s Department will take on the
Portage Police Department.
On Thursday the consolation game will
start at 6 p.m. followed by the championship game at
7:15. Admission to the game is $3 for adults and $1 for
children. Concessions will be available beginning at
5:30 p.m. and throughout the entire tournament. The
traveling trophy will be handed out to the winning
team immediately after the completion of the
championship game. All proceeds from "Battle of the
Badges" will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter
County.
