Sheriff David Lain is proud
to announce the return of
The Porter County
Sheriff’s Department
to providing information via
a mass-media format.
Lakeshore Public Radio (WLPR, 89.1 FM) has
included a segment during their 4pm – 6pm
“Lakeshore Drive” program to allow the
Sheriff to disseminate information
concerning current law enforcement issues
throughout the region.
The Sheriff also plans on highlighting
events and accomplishments of northwest
Indiana’s non-profit organizations during
the show.
“Many worthwhile non-profits lost the
opportunity to be heard when the
Sheriff’s Department’s Behind the Star
program was dropped from cable television in
2007”
said Sheriff Lain. “We have been hoping to
find an outlet so that we can regain the
connection we had
with the community.
Thankfully Lakeshore
Radio believes as we do that its audience is
well served by this kind of programming.”
The Sheriff can be heard every Monday
afternoon at approximately 4:10pm
along with
the hosts of Lakeshore Drive, Len
Clark and Leigh DeNoon.
The Sheriff’s Department is seeking a
