2009 Popcorn Festival

Thanks to the terrific support we had from the Valpo HS SADD club and others, the Sheriff’s Department was a big hit in this year’s parade. We had about 15 VHS students, a couple of moms and some K9 assistance throwing candy. Unfortunately, we went through the 40 pounds that we had about ½ way through. We were honored to have special guest Danielle Polito ride with us in the ’67 Chevy anti-drug car. She was an essay winner from Morgan Township School and a delightful passenger.

The Sheriff’s Mounted Posse is always very popular and we can count on them making us look good.
