On Saturday June 13^th, world renown escape artist Anthony Martin broke out of the Porter County Jail. (The old one that is now the Porter County Museum.)

As a warm up, Tony first escaped from the cell in the Sheriff’s Department lobby after having been locked inside by Sheriff Lain. After his escape from 3 cellblock doors at the museum, Tony was photographed holding the “Dillinger” Thompson stolen by the criminal when he escaped jail in 1934.
