What's Happening at The Porter County Sheriff's Office

Wal-Mart Grant

The Wal-Mart Corporation presented a grant check for $750 dollars to the Porter County Sheriff’s Department on November 17th.  The money will be used to purchase traffic cones, increasing both officer and public safety at emergency traffic scenes.

This is the Second public safety grant the Sheriff’s Department has received from Wal-Mart in the last three years.  The first was used toward the purchase and training of a police K-9 who is now on duty on the streets of Porter County.  The Department is deeply indebted to Wal-Mart for its role as a good corporate neighbor.
