Sheriff's Dept. Receives Recognition for Murder Case

Porter County Sheriff's Department was recently awarded a beautiful glass plaque from the Porter Police Department in recognition of the time spent and dedication displayed by several officers during the recent investigation and murder trial of Christopher Matson. Matson was convicted of murder in the shooting death of Porter businessman Rick Pinkerton. He was also convicted of being a habitual offender and sentenced to 95 years in prison.
