Linda Beal-Baum 

Communications Supervisor

In November of 1997 The Porter County Sheriff's 
 Department lost both a dedicated employee and a friend.
 Communications Supervisor Linda Beal-Baum was killed
  in a traffic accident on a snowy Saturday morning. She was laid 
 to rest with honors in McCool Cemetery, Portage, Indiana.  

In 1998, the 911 Communications Center was renamed

"The Linda Baum Communications Center" in her memory.
